Description: | They’re back! Lighting up the stage and filling the hall with glorious seasonal song, the magnificent Elmbridge Choir (under new Musical Director Hugh Beckwith) and the fabulous Elmbridge Ladies Choir (directed by Christine Parker) return to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and togetherness. Saturday 4th December will see the two community choirs return to Addlestone Community Centre for an evening of Christmas cheer and festive fun. After two long years, the choirs are excited to be performing together again to a live audience and can’t wait to entertain with an eclectic mix of traditional carols (with a twist!), magical ballads and favourite Christmas pop songs. And Christmas just wouldn’t be complete without a taste of Wham, Mariah Carey and “The Polar Express”! This year the choirs are delighted to be sharing the stage with some very special young guests with a hugely important message. “We are the Voice” children’s environmental choir aims “to win hearts and minds, to sing for the climate; for the trees, oceans and seas” with original songs of hope for their future. The youngsters from Elmbridge are already achieving great things: from more than 4000 applicants, this inspiring young choir was chosen to perform at COP26 in Glasgow! The concert starts at 8pm and early booking is advised as tickets are expected to sell out. |
