(Liz Renaud and her Grandson)
|
Liz Renaud
is one of the choir's biggest fans..
We first noticed Liz in our audience
in the front row of one of our
concerts in the autumn of 2007 and since then she has been to every
single one of our concerts.
Liz lives in Oxshott with her
adoring husband Brindley and they have two grown-up sons. Liz is a lady
of leisure these days but she does work as a volunteer at the Cobham
Police Station and often does many good Samaritan deeds for her friends
In September 2008 when the choir celebrated it's third birthday Liz
had baked a cake but was unable to bring it to the choir. She preserved
the beautifully crafted icing work she had made especially for the
occasion and then promptly arrived at our rehearsal on March 10th with
3 huge chocolate cakes!
Needless to say the choir scoffed the cakes during the interval and
then there was still enough for some of us to take home.
When
we asked Liz for a picture of herself, she said that she chose this one
with her little grandson, because, as it
happened, it was his first birthday the day she brought the cakes to
the choir rehearsal. She'd made him one, too, for his big
day,
but his Mummy sensibly wouldn’t let him have
any!! According to Liz, he’s so good and loves to eat
broccoli
like sweets – but the joy of
chocolate cake is still to come.
Says Liz: " It was lovely
being in on a rehearsal and to hear a song take shape –
beautiful! And it meant a lot to me that everybody enjoyed
the
cake so much – thank you."
We thank Liz from the bottom of
our hearts for being such a avid fan - this means a lot to us!
We
hope that she will enjoy many more concerts with together with us.
